EL SEGUNDO – The Los Angeles Lakers have assigned rookie center Thomas Bryant and second-year center Ivica Zubac to the South Bay Lakers, it was announced today.
In twelve games with South Bay this season, Bryant has averaged 22.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 30.7 minutes per game. Bryant has grabbed four double-doubles in the G League, shooting 101-169 (.598) from the field and 34-74 (.459) from deep.
Zubac has played in seven games for South Bay this season, averaging 21.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.0 blocks. Zubac has grabbed a pair of double-doubles and made 64.5% (71-110) of his shots from the field.
Bryant and Zubac are both expected to be in uniform tonight when South Bay visits the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario at 7:30 p.m. from the Citizens Business Bank Arena.
