This Weekend in the South Bay

  1. The South Bay Lakers opened their new home on Wednesday with a thrilling 127-123 come-from-behind victory over Santa Cruz to move to 2-0 on the young NBA G League season. They’ll look to continue their positive momentum this weekend when they play host to the Austin Spurs on Saturday, November 11th and the Texas Legends on Sunday, November 12th. Tickets for the two games can be purchased online or at the UCLA Health Training Center Box Office, which opens 90-minutes prior to each game.
  2. Giveaway! There are 10 scheduled fan giveaways for the 2017-18 season and one of them is coming on Saturday when all fans in attendance receive a South Bay Lakers Rally Towel. For a complete list of the 2017-18 giveaways, click here.
  3. New to this season is the gameday environment. Most are familiar with the Los Angeles Lakers G League affiliate playing their home games at the Toyota Sports Center, but this season has home games being played at the state-of-the-art UCLA Health Training Center. The new facility is the main practice facility for the Los Angeles Lakers and South Bay, while also housing space for front office staff. The seating capacity for all South Bay home games will be 750 – more than double the capacity of Toyota Sports Center. Various food trucks, full beverage options, and VIP seating options are three of many ways the gameday experience has been enhanced for the fans. If you’re headed to a South Bay game this season, take a look at the general information for the UCLA Health Training Center and the seating options available.
