EL SEGUNDO (March 30, 2018) – The Los Angeles Lakers have assigned Travis Wear to the South Bay Lakers, it was announced today.
Wear signed with the Los Angeles Lakers for the rest of the season on March 23 and has appeared in 13 games for the purple and gold this season. In 13.3 minutes per game, the UCLA product has averaged 5.2 points and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 39.0 percent from three-point range.
In 33 games with South Bay this season, Wear has averaged 16.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 30.6 minutes. The Huntington Beach native averaged 3.0 triples per game while shooting 41.9 percent from beyond the arc.
Wear is expected to suit up for South Bay on Saturday, March 31 when the Lakers take on the Oklahoma City Blue at 2:15 p.m. PT from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in the first round of the NBA G League Playoffs on ESPNews.
