The South Bay Lakers have acquired the returning player rights to Juan Toscano-Anderson and Santa Cruz’s 2020 first round pick from the Santa Cruz Warriors in exchange for Zach Norvell Jr., it was announced today.
In 74 career G League games (28 starts) with Santa Cruz, Toscano-Anderson has averaged 9.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 steals in 26.3 minutes. During the 2019-20 season with Santa Cruz, he averaged 12.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 steals in 31 games. Toscano-Anderson signed with the Golden State Warriors on February 7 and has appeared in four games, averaging 5.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 18.0 minutes per game.
In 29 games (17 starts) with South Bay this season, Norvell Jr. averaged 15.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 39.6 percent from three-point range. Norvell Jr. appeared in three games with Golden State after signing with the team on February 8, averaging 3.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 12.0 minutes per game.
