South Bay Takes Down Agua Caliente For Third Straight Victory

ONTARIO, CA– The Agua Caliente Clippers (12-5) had their five-game win streak snapped as they fell to the South Bay Lakers (11-5), 111-98, on Wednesday night at the Toyota Arena.

South Bay was led by Mason Jones’ 24 points. Paris Bass added 18 points and nine rebounds off the bench, while Elijah Cain recorded seven points, seven assists and a career-high seven steals.

The Lakers came out of the gates hot, opening the game with a 31-13 advantage on their way to a wire-to-wire victory. They would lead by as much as 19 in the contest. ACC closed the gap in the third, bringing the score to within three points, but couldn’t get over the hump.

Moses Wright led all scorers with 26 points for the Clippers. He grabbed 10 rebounds to complete the double-double. Keaton Wallace added 22 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocks in the losing effort.

South Bay will return to action on Wednesday, February 23 as they take on the Stockton Kings in an early morning game in Stockton at 11:00 A.M. PT.
