OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 31, 2022 – The Oklahoma City Blue (8-5) defeated the South Bay Lakers (6-3), 113-100, on Monday afternoon at Paycom Center. Thunder assignment player Jeremiah Robinson-Earl recorded game-highs of 25 points (9-15 FGs) and 10 rebounds as five Blue players scored in double figures to earn their third-straight win.

“We passed the ball really well. South Bay is obviously a quality team and they make you pass it with the way they play defense and their physicality,” Head Coach Grant Gibbs said. “I thought we did a good job from a game plan standpoint of that and defensively I thought we really got back on track after the recent road trip.
The Blue jumped off to a strong start, maintaining a double-digit lead after jumping out to 15-4 edge halfway through the first quarter. Oklahoma City owned a 61-43 advantage at halftime and led by as many as 27 points at the 3:50 mark in the third quarter with a free throw from DJ Wilson.
Lindy Waters III scored 16 points while going 4-for-8 from three-point range and knocked down all four free throw attempts. Melvin Frazier Jr. tallied 15 points (6-12 FGS) and Zavier Simpson added 10 points along with a game-high eight assists.
