Quinndary Weatherspoon Selected to NBA G League Up Next Game

The NBA announced that South Bay Lakers guard Quinndary Weatherspoon has been selected to compete in the NBA G League Up Next Game, which will take place on Sunday, Feb. 18, at 1:30 p.m. ET at G League Park in NBA Crossover at the Indiana Convention Center.

Through 22 regular season and Showcase Cup contests (five starts) for the South Bay Lakers, Weatherspoon has averaged 17.5 points (48.9 FG%, 36.8 3P%), 3.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 steals in 27.7 minutes.

The NBA G League Up Next Game presented by AT&T will feature four teams of seven players competing in two semifinal games. The winner of each semifinal will face off in a championship game.

The teams will be made up of 28 NBA G League players, including 10 selected by a fan vote. The remaining 18 players will be selected by the NBA G League and will include eight members of NBA G League Ignite and at least one member of the Indiana Mad Ants, the G League affiliate of the All-Star hosting Indiana Pacers. Each team will be coached by a head coach from the NBA G League.
