South Bay Lakers Finalize Training Camp Roster and Schedule

 The South Bay Lakers finalized the team’s training camp roster and schedule following the conclusion of the 2023 NBA G League Draft on Saturday.  

The 14-man roster includes Los Angeles Lakers two-way players Colin Castleton, Alex Fudge and D’Moi Hodge, as well as three returning members from the 2022-23 South Bay team: Bryce Hamilton, Gabe Levin and Scotty Pippen Jr. South Bay’s squad is also headlined by NBA veterans Louis King and Quinndary Weatherspoon, who were both acquired via trade this offseason, as well as Los Angeles Lakers training camp participants Damion Baugh and Vincent Valerio-Bodon.  

At the conclusion of the draft, South Bay traded for the rights to this year’s No. 1 overall selection, Jack White. In return, the Lakers sent the draft rights to Teafale Lenard Jr., a 2024 first round pick and a 2024 second round pick to the Texas Legends. The South Bay Lakers training camp roster stands at 14. 

Additionally, South Bay announced its 2023 training camp schedule that is set to begin on Monday, Oct. 30. All practices will be held at UCLA Health Training Center in El Segundo, Calif.

South Bay will open the NBA G League regular season at home against the Rip City Remix on Friday, Nov. 9, at UCLA Health Training Center at 7 p.m. PT.
