By South Bay Lakers Staff /November 21, 2022
The South Bay Lakers kicked off the new season with the G-League Fan Fest with two local schools, Richmond Street Elementary and Center Street Elementary. Students from both elementary schools were invited to attend a South Bay Lakers Health and Fitness Clinic at Center Street School.
During the Health & Fitness and Basketball clinic, students had an opportunity to participate South Bay Lakers clinic, exercise and prepare for a game like the South Bay Lakers. Students were shown the fundamentals of the game, such as passing, ball handling, shooting, and rebounding. At the end of practice, students played knock-out and Hot Shot to win a special South Bay Lakers prize.
The Health & Fitness and Basketball clinic is the beginning of a yearlong adoption that includes opportunities to interact with our South Bay Lakers team, educational programming and tickets to South Bay Lakers games throughout the season. South Bay will maintain a frequent presence around both Richmond Street and Center Street Elementary throughout the year with these programs.
