South Bay Lakers Prevail in Rematch with Clippers

The South Bay Lakers were victorious 122-117, on Thursday afternoon to split the two-game series with the Ontario Clippers.
South Bay’s Devin Cannady led his team with 31 points on 11-18 FG (5-10 3PT). Shaquille Harrison finished with 24 points (9-19 FG), seven rebounds, and seven assists.
After the Lakers went ahead by 16 in the second quarter, the Clippers closed the half with a 24-8 run to even up the score heading into halftime. The two teams went back and forth in the second half, with the Clippers leading by as much as nine and the Lakers by as much as six. A three-pointer by Xavier Moon brought Ontario to within a single point with 31.4 seconds remaining, but a layup and costly Clipper turnover sealed the victory for South Bay.
For the Clippers, Xavier Moon followed up a career-high 36-point performance on Sunday with another career night, recording 44 points on 18-31 FG (6-10 3PT) in the losing effort. Nate Darling also recorded a career-high in the scoring column, scoring 38 points on 12-21 FG (7-12 3PT).
