South Bay Lakers Center Kylor Kelley Earns NBA Call-Up with Dallas Mavericks

South Bay Lakers center Kylor Kelley has signed a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks. The call-up marks the first of the 2024-25 campaign for South Bay and the 53rd overall in franchise history.
Kelley (7’0”, 239) appeared in 23 Tip-Off Tournament and regular season games (20 starts) for South Bay this season, averaging 11.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.5 blocks in 27.5 minutes. The 27-year-old scored in double figures in 13 games, including one performance with a season-high 20 points at Rip City Dec 2. Kelley recorded double-digit rebounds in six contests and had multiple blocks in 14 games, including a career-high-tying eight rejections at Santa Cruz Nov. 30. In the 2024-25 Tip-Off Tournament, Kelley tied for second in the league with 3.0 blocks per game.
Across four campaigns and 73 regular season contests (38 starts) in the NBA G League with South Bay (2024-25), Maine (2023-24), Raptors 905 (2022-23) and Austin (2020-21), Kelley has averaged 7.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.8 blocks in 18.3 minutes. The Oregon native earned NBA G League All-Defensive honors in 2023-24 with the Celtics after averaging a league-best 2.9 blocks per contest.
